A Subaru Club Malaysia exclusive None of this would have been possible without the good grace and generosity of our Japanese guests - in particular Omizo-san of whom - without his blessing - would not have enabled the Club to get so close to the action. In two short days - the hospitality and kindness of our guests made it possible for friendships to bond in such a short time - that hopefully will last for many years to come. Omizo-san and Mamiya-san - (I know the latter will surf to this page!) - thanks a million thank you - it was indeed a pleasure and honour to be in your esteemed company. Also Kobayashi (Mr. Emperor Skebe) and Tanigawa (Small Skebe) who made me feel at home - although they were accomplished drivers in their own right - they were down-to-earth and displayed no air at all. The crew was great too - although it was sign-language most of the time - they were such a friendly lot. Finally the girls - I miss you all already. Call me biased but compared with the GT girls of the other teams - the Cusco girls (the official Takayo and the unofficial i.e. Xuffei and Kazumi) were the hottest girls in Sepang! 17 JUNE 2004 - CUSCO TEAM MEETS SUBARU CLUB MALAYSIA Concord Inn Hotel, KLIA - 8.00 PM From CUSCO : Toshio Omizo (President CUSCO Japan & Team Director), Mamiya-san (Sales Manager), Kobayashi-san & Tanigawa-san (drivers), Xuffei-san (translator), Takayo Negishi (Cusco Queen) and Kazumi Sakurai (ex-Cusco Queen) After a quick word by Adil and Omizo-san, the club presented a plaque to the team and souvenirs for all (keychains). This was followed by the photo session. Omizo handed to each and everyone the Cusco toycar and postcards with the drivers autographs. Our private tete-a-tete ending only too soon at approximately 9.10pm. One hour is not nearly enough to spend time with the drivers and the team. All in all - those who went was satisfied no? |
